Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Nantes (15-13) outscored on the road 17th ranked Souffelweyersheim (10-18) 98-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. Nantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Souffelweyersheim to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Nantes dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Souffelweyersheim's 18. Nantes had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Nantes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Souffelweyersheim's players. Souffelweyersheim was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: I.D.S. Law) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92, agency: Comsport) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jarryd Cole (205-88, college: Iowa) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Gaylor Curier (197-92) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nantes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Poitiers and Boulazac. Souffelweyersheim lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 18 games lost. Nantes will face Saint-Quentin (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Souffelweyersheim will play against Boulazac Basket (#7) and hope to win that game.
