Regular Season Round 29: Le Havre - Dijon 66-73

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked JDA Dijon (17-12) defeated on the road bottom-ranked STB Le Havre (1-28) 73-66 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-14. But STB Le Havre won second period 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JDA Dijon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) who scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. Power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) produced 18 points and guard Teddy Gipson (193-80, college: Arkansas, agency: Court Side) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for JDA Dijon. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nanterre. STB Le Havre lost their seventeenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. JDA Dijon will face league's second-placed Le Mans at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. STB Le Havre will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#7) and hope to win that game.
