Very predictable result when seventh ranked Chalon/Saor (19-10) outscored at home 15th ranked Cholet Basket (10-19) 100-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded Cholet Basket 40-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jeremy Hazell (191-86, college: Seton Hall) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mathias Lessort (205-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Coach Jean-Denys Choulet's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St., agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Chalon/Saor. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Loser Cholet Basket keeps the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Chalon/Saor will face Paris-Levallois (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cholet Basket will play against JSF Nanterre and hope to win that game.
