Regular Season Round 56: Bambitious Nara - Hiroshima L. 109-64

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-49) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (17-33) 109-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Bambitious Nara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 24. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 56-20 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bambitious Nara looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hiroshima L.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara's coach Eto Kohei felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ayumu Osawa (-91) responded with 17 points and Daichi Tomioka scored 15 points and 6 assists. Bambitious Nara maintains ninth position with 17-33 record. Hiroshima L. lost 33th consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 49 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face higher ranked Fukuoka Rizing (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hiroshima L. will play against the league's leader Kyoto Hannar. (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
