Second Stage Round 18: Wetterbygden - RIG Mark 77-59
Date: April 17, 2016
Rather expected game in Huskvarna where 8th ranked RIG Mark (6-18) was defeated by sixth ranked Wetterbygden (13-11) 77-59. The game was mostly controlled by Wetterbygden. RIG Mark was better in third quarter 12-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RIG Mark to just 7 points in second quarter. Wetterbygden forced 23 RIG Mark turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Forward Johan Ganstrand (192-93) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Jonathan Peleg (191-94) supported him with 18 points and 7 steals. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by guard Alexander Karras (187-98) did not help to save the game for RIG Mark. Oskar Ekh added 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wetterbygden moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Helsingborg and Huddinge. RIG Mark lost fourth consecutive game. RIG Mark at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost.
