Regular Season Round 28: UCAM Murcia - Manresa 73-75

Important game to mention about took place in Murcia. Fourteenth ranked La ICL Manresa (10-18) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging higher ranked UCAM Murcia (13-15) 75-73 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But UCAM Murcia won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UCAM Murcia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Lithuanian forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) who scored that evening 11 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Chase Simon (198-89, college: Detroit Mercy) supported him with 16 points. Four La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 assists by Argentinian point guard Facundo Campazzo (179-91) did not help to save the game for UCAM Murcia. American-Dominican swingman Sadiel Rojas (193-89, college: Okla.Wesleyan) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa maintains fourteenth position with 10-18 record. UCAM Murcia at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Iberostar Tener.. La ICL Manresa will play against higher ranked Unicaja Malaga (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCAM Murcia will play against Blusens Monbus in Santoago de Comp and hopes to get back on the winning track.
