No shocking result in a game in Heathmont where second ranked Stingrays (6-1) defeated 9th ranked Ringwood Hawks (3-3) 98-82 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Jason Reardon (189-83) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Nathan Champion (190, college: Le Moyne) who recorded 25 points and guard Matthew Snowball added 10 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Stingrays and four Ringwood Hawks players scored in double figures. Ringwood Hawks' coach let to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Stingrays maintains second position in League with 6-1 record having just seven point less than leader Geelong S. Loser Ringwood Hawks dropped to the seventh place with three games lost.
