There was no surprise when 16th ranked Fondi (3-25) was outleveled on the road by fifth ranked Palermo (19-10) 90-45 on Sunday. Palermo held Fondi to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Palermo forced 19 Fondi turnovers and outrebounded them 51-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Fondi's players. Guard Marcello Cozzoli (188-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points.
