Regular Season Round 29: Hapoel T-A - Hapoel Holon 90-85

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-16) defeated at home 10th ranked Hapoel Holon (10-19) 90-85. After very bad start, Hapoel Holon stormed back in the second period cutting the deficit to 3 points 48-45. But it was not enough and Hapoel Tel-Aviv took back the control in second half. It was a great shooting night for Hapoel Tel-Aviv especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) nailed 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American point guard Nate Robinson (175-84, college: Washington) accounted for 16 points and 9 assists. American forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and the other American import point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for Hapoel Holon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Holon lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 19 games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's next round opponent will be Ironi Nes-Ziona (#11) in Nes Ziyona. Hapoel Holon will play on the road against Maccabi Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
