Finals Game 1: Horsens IC - Bakken 66-88

Bakken Bears stormed into the championship series. They thumped Horsens IC on the road in the opener. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bakken outrebounded Horsens IC 52-33 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international swingman Thomas Laerke (195-91) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Israel Martin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) produced 19 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Marquis Addison (195-91, college: Missouri So., agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side.
