Very important is a road loss of third ranked Frayles de Guasave (12-7) against fifth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (11-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting Frayles de Guasave was defeated by Caballeros de Culiacan in a tough game in Culiacan 82-88. American-Jordanian swingman Jimmy Baxter (196-80, college: S.Florida) notched 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) supported him with 20 points. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Jeremie Hart (188, college: McMurry) did not help to save the game for Frayles de Guasave. His fellow American import guard Jordan Williams (198, college: N.Texas) added 20 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Five Caballeros de Culiacan and four Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. Frayles de Guasave's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Caballeros de Culiacan maintains fifth position with 11-8 record. Frayles de Guasave at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan will again play against higher ranked Frayles de Guasave (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Frayles de Guasave will have a break next round.
