Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Buenos Aires: Ferrocarril O. (#7) and Obras Basket (#5). Obras Basket was defeated at home 78-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. American-Italian forward Ryan Amoroso (205-85, college: San Diego St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Greek forward Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) accounted for 20 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Four Ferrocarril O. players scored in double figures. American forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and international center Marcos Delia (209-92) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Obras Basket in the defeat. Ferrocarril O. (24-29) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Atenas and Regatas C. Obras Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 25 games lost. Ferrocarril O. will meet at home higher ranked CASLA (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obras Basket will have a break next round.
