Regular Season Round 30: Monaco - Antibes 68-61

ProA top team - Monaco (23-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Olympique Antibes (13-17) 68-61. Olympique Antibes was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 22-13 charge of Monaco, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Olympique Antibes turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Olympique Antibes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard D.J. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Moustapha Fall (218-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. They have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Monaco maintains first position with 23-7 record. Olympique Antibes at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Monaco's next round opponent will be Limoges CSP Elite (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Olympique Antibes will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque and hope to win that game.
