The game in Ciudad Obregon supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (10-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (8-11). Tijuana Zonkeys smashed Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon 113-87 on Tuesday. Tijuana Zonkeys shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 60.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon's players. American swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The other American import swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) produced 32 points and American forward Landon Atterberry (198, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Tijuana Zonkeys and four Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 10-13 record. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Tijuana Zonkeys will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will play again against Tijuana Zonkeys (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
