Date: April 20, 2016
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tbilisi: Sokhumi (#4) and Mgzavrebi (#5). Sokhumi (15-12) won against visiting Mgzavrebi (13-14) 72-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mgzavrebi. The game was mostly controlled by Sokhumi. Mgzavrebi managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mgzavrebi to just 6 points in first quarter. Sokhumi forced 21 Mgzavrebi turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokhumi made 9 blocks. They share it with Rustavi. Sokhumi will meet at home league's second-placed Batumi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
