Tijuana Zonkeys looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward James Penny (198-76, college: TCU) who scored 26 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Landon Atterberry (198, college: LIU Brooklyn) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and British V.Islands power forward Lester Prosper (208-88, college: Old Westbury) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 11-13 record. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. Tijuana Zonkeys will have a break next round. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will play on the road against Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#3) and hope to win that game.
