Regular Season Round 27: Sant Nicolau - Andorra II 82-75

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Sant Nicolau (9-9) won against 4th placed Andorra II (10-8) in Sabadell 82-75 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Andorra II won third quarter 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sant Nicolau made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Andorra II turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Sant Nicolau especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. It was a good game for guard Guim Exposito (197-94) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Center Larry Ewulu (197-92) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Sant Nicolau's coach Adria Alonso used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard David Jofresa (186-95) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and center Cinto Gabriel (199-87) added 21 points in the effort for Andorra II. Four Andorra II players scored in double figures. Sant Nicolau maintains seventh place in Group C Perman with 9-9 record, which they share with Martorell. Loser Andorra II keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
