There was an upset when higher ranked Easo (15-8) was outleveled on the road by tenth ranked Mondragon (10-13) 67-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mondragon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for power forward Benat Barberena (204-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Iker Barbero (192-92) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Mondragon players scored in double figures. Mondragon's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Xabier Beraza (195-99) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds and forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Easo.
