Regular Season Round 27: Clavijo - Ardoi 73-63

Leading Ardoi (18-5) recorded its fifth loss in Logrono on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Clavijo (13-10) 73-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Ardoi. The game was mostly controlled by Clavijo. Ardoi managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Brais Gago (180-96) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian Mantvydas Staselis (189-94) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four Clavijo players scored in double figures. Clavijo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Alberto Davila (195-81) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ardoi in the defeat. Clavijo have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain sixth place in Group A-A with 13-10 record. Loser Ardoi still keeps top position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
