There was a surprise result in Firenze where thirteenth ranked Fiorentina (11-19) smashed higher ranked Varese Coels. (12-18) 75-45 on Saturday. Fiorentina looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Simone Lasagni (184-94) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Ivorian guard Mohamed Toure (190-92, agency: Players Group) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest.
