Regular Season Round 27: Masnou - Castellbisbal 90-82

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Masnou as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C Perman. Masnou defeated 5th ranked Castellbisbal in Barcelona 90-82. Castellbisbal was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Alberto Valle (186-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Forward Marc Balague (190-85) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) with 12 points and American guard Lyndon Jordan (188, college: Fairfield) scored 12 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Masnou have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Miramar. Castellbisbal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
