Regular Season Round 30: Roseto - Trieste 88-99

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Roseto (19-11) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Trieste (18-12) 99-88 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Trieste. Roseto was better in fourth quarter 33-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International point guard Stefano Bossi (185-94, agency: Players Group) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Roberto Nelson (190-91, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Trieste's coach Eugenio Dalmasson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) with 27 points and guard Roberto Marulli (190-91) scored 17 points. Five Trieste and four Roseto players scored in double figures. Trieste maintains sixth position in A2 with 18-12 record. Loser Roseto dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost.
