There was an upset in Cordoba where higher ranked Obras Basket (28-27) was defeated by ninth ranked Instituto C. (23-30) 92-85 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Instituto C. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Obras Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Jazwin Cowan (203-83, college: Hampton, agency: DTMones) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Alejandro Zilli (200-82) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Cowan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Instituto C. players scored in double figures. American forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and American-Panamanian Levour Warren (196-81, college: S.Carolina) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Instituto C. maintains ninth place with 23-30 record. Obras Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 27 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
