Regular Season Round 27: Igualada - Mollet 63-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Mollet's (10-8) road victory over 6th ranked Igualada (7-11) 85-63 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-63. Mollet outrebounded Igualada 35-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for power forward Ramon Espuna (206-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Power forward Albert Griso (202-85) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Mollet players scored in double figures. Forward Albert Del Hoyo (192-92) answered with 14 points and Jordi Torres (188-83) added 7 points in the effort for Igualada. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mollet. They moved-up to fourth place in Group C Titulo, which they share with Santfeliuenc. Igualada at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
