Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Le Mans and 3rd placed Chalon/Saor had identical 20-10 record. This time Le Mans used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Chalon 109-83 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 61-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Five Le Mans and four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Le Mans (21-10) moved-up to third place. Chalon/Saor at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Le Mans will face ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#6) on the road in the next round. Chalon/Saor will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez and hope to win that game.
