Rather expected game when 11th ranked Virtus Roma (13-17) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Novipiu Casale (15-15) 80-58 on Saturday. The former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-89) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Senegalese forward Abdel Fall (202-91) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. Novipiu Casale's coach Marco Ramondino felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized American Craig Callahan (204-81, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: SPORTlab Agency) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) scored 16 points.
