Regular Season Round 29: Souffel - Boulazac 66-87
Date: April 23, 2016
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Boulazac Basket (16-13) smashed on the road 17th ranked Souffelweyersheim (10-19) 87-66. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. Souffelweyersheim was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boulazac Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Souffelweyersheim's players. American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. American forward Jarryd Cole (205-88, college: Iowa) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) added 10 points respectively for Souffelweyersheim in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Boulazac Basket maintains sixth place with 16-13 record. Souffelweyersheim lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. Boulazac Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Le Portel (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Souffelweyersheim will play against Orchesien BC (#18) in Orchies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
