The game in Tbilisi supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Energy Invest (13-14) played at the court of 8th ranked MIA (5-22). Energy Invest smashed MIA 103-81. The game was mostly controlled by Energy Invest. MIA was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Energy Invest dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to MIA's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86) accounted for 7 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Coach Mikheil Beruashvili's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Akaki Lomouri (198-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and the former international Merab Bokolishvili (196-92) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively for MIA in the defeat. Energy Invest moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mgzavrebi. MIA lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the eighth position with 22 games lost. Energy Invest's next round opponent will be Olimpi (#7) in Tbilisi. MIA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Mgzavrebi.
