Regular Season Round 27: L'Hospitalet - JAC Sants 63-72

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked JAC Sants (7-11) defeated on the road leader L'Hospitalet (16-2) 72-63 on Sunday. Strangely L'Hospitalet outrebounded JAC Sants 44-30 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Ignasi Belver (197-94) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marc Pages (178-95) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Center Oriol Bayo (201-83) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) added 16 points in the effort for L'Hospitalet. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. JAC Sants moved-up to seventh place in Group C Titulo, which they share with Igualada. Loser L'Hospitalet still keeps top position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
