There was no surprise when 10th ranked Sionista (20-33) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Libertad Sunchales (30-25) 85-80 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-80. Libertad Sunchales made 34-of-40 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game, while Sionista only scored eighteen points from the stripe. Sionista was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Juan Brussino (185-91) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Paraguayan center Guillermo Araujo (204-82, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Sionista's coach Sebastian Svetliza rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Libertad Sunchales moved-up to third place, which they share with Bahia Basket. Loser Sionista keeps the tenth position with 33 games lost. Libertad Sunchales will face again Sionista (#10) in Parana in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
