Second Stage Round 12: Residence - Heffingen 92-81

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bereldange. First ranked Residence faced 3rd ranked Heffingen. Host Residence (15-15) defeated guests from Heffingen (10-20) 92-81. The game was mostly controlled by Residence. Heffingen was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Heffingen 46-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by British-Nigerian Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) supported him with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Residence players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Brad Reese (199-88, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Heffingen. His fellow American import Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: N.Florida, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 21 points. Heffingen's coach Mark Reed rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Residence maintains first position with 15-15 record, which they share with Grengewald. Heffingen at the other side keeps the third place with 20 games lost. Residence's next round opponent will be league's leader Bascharage in Kaerjeng and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heffingen will play at home against the league's second-placed Arantia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
