Regular Season Round 30: Rosa Radom - Torun 64-55

An interesting game for Rosa (25-7) which hosted in Radom one of their biggest challengers Twarde Pierniki (24-8). Second ranked Rosa managed to get a 9-point victory 64-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Twarde Pierniki. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 27-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Rosa made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Twarde Pierniki outrebounded Rosa 46-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) who led his team to a victory with 11 points and 9 rebounds. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. Canadian center Sean Denison (211-85, college: Santa Clara) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Maxym Korniyenko (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Twarde Pierniki. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 25-7 record having just three points less than leader Stelmet ZG. Twarde Pierniki at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Anwil.
