Date: April 25, 2016
There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Bnei Hasharon (15-15) lost to eighth ranked Maccabi Rishon (14-16) in Hod Hasharon 82-95 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Rishon. Maccabi Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Comsport) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Rishon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hapoel T-A. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. Maccabi Rishon will face Maccabi Ashdod (#9) at home in the next round.
