Regular Season Round 30: Maccabi T-A - Maccabi K/G 92-84

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Maccabi T-A (21-9) beat bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G (10-20) in Tel-Aviv 92-84 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-84. Maccabi T-A looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for the former international point guard Yogev Ohayon (189-87) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. International point guard Gal Mekel (190-88, college: Wichita St., agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 9 points and 16 assists for the winners. American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists and his fellow American import power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi K/G. Maccabi T-A maintains second position with 21-9 record having just one point less than leader Hapoel J-M. Maccabi K/G lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom place with 20 games lost. Maccabi T-A will face Hapoel Eilat (#5) on the road in the next round. Maccabi K/G will play against Maccabi Haifa (#3) and hope to win that game.
