Regular Season Round 84: Quilmes MP - GECR Indalo 76-51

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked GECR Indalo (33-21) in Mar del Plata on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by tenth ranked Quilmes MP (24-31) 76-51. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GECR Indalo. The game without a history. Quilmes MP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding GECR Indalo to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Quilmes MP dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to GECR Indalo's 26. It was a good game for American Walter Baxley (193-84, college: Mars Hill) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Lucas Vildoza (190-95) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-88) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Matias Sandes (201-84) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GECR Indalo. Quilmes MP moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Boca Jrs and Lanus. GECR Indalo at the other side still keeps top position with 21 games lost. Quilmes MP's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Mar del Plata Penarol.
