Very predictable result when second ranked ALM Evreux (19-11) won against on the road 9th ranked Poitiers (15-15) 75-66 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-66. ALM Evreux made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. ALM Evreux outrebounded Poitiers 47-29 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory with 8 points and 18 rebounds. The other American import swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Arnaud Thinon (178-87) added 19 points in the effort for Poitiers. ALM Evreux maintains second position with 19-11 record having four points less than leader Hyeres-Toulon. Poitiers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 15 games lost. ALM Evreux will face Denain Voltaire (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Poitiers will play against JL Bourg (#3) and hope to win that game.
