Regular Season Round 7: Logan T. - Bundaberg B. 92-68

No shocking result in a game when leader Logan Thunder (1-0) crushed 13th ranked Bears (1-1) in Loganholme 92-68 on Friday. Logan Thunder forced 26 Bears turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Sarah Ambrose contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Logan Thunder players scored in double figures. Logan Thunder's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Christina Boag answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Bears. Logan Thunder left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser Bears dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. Logan Thunder will face Meteorettes (#12) in Mackay in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bears will play at home against Clippers (#4) and hope to win that game.
