Regular Season Round 7: SW Slammers - Willetton T. 54-82

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Slammers (0-8) were outscored by third ranked Tigers (6-1) in Bunbury 82-54 on Friday. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Slammers' 22. Tigers forced 24 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 50-31 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Slammers' players. It was a very good performance for naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Zoe Harper (191-88, college: Minnesota) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Courtney Bayliss (183-93, college: Our Lady Lake) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Dena English (168, college: Neosho Co.CC) added 17 points in the effort for Slammers. Slammers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Tigers maintains third place in League with 6-1 record behind leader Rockingham CF. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with eight games lost. Tigers will face league's second-placed Hawks in Floreat in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
