Regular Season Round 34: La Rochelle - St Vallier 79-87

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked La Rochelle (13-21) was defeated at home by second ranked Saint Vallier (21-13) 87-79. It looked good early as La Rochelle took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Saint Vallier had a 29-16 second period charge getting the lead and La Rochelle was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-87. Saint Vallier dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to La Rochelle's 26. Saint Vallier forced 19 La Rochelle turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by La Rochelle helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Harry Disy (200-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Tanguy Ramassamy (205-90, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. American guard Jahsha Bluntt (198-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 29 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for La Rochelle. Saint Vallier maintains second position with 21-13 record having six points less than leader Blois, which they share with Rueil. La Rochelle lost fourth consecutive game.
