Very expected game when bottom-ranked Hills Hornets (0-3) were smashed by third ranked Comets (4-1) in Alexandria 74-53 on Saturday. Comets forced 28 Hills Hornets turnovers. It was a very good performance for Bree Delaney who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Rhiaan Te-Hira contributed with 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Comets players scored in double figures. Belinda Suitor answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Andrea Roditis added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hills Hornets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Comets maintains third place in League with 4-1 record having 3 victories less than leader Rockingham CF. Loser Hills Hornets still closes the standings with three games lost. Comets will face Hawks (#5) in the next round.
