Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Wildcats (1-7) lost to seventh ranked Boomers (3-4) in Bulleen 62-72 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for forward Lauren Pearce (181-83) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Kara Tessari contributed with 12 points for the winners. Forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-93) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jacqueline Kitto (174-90) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Wildcats. Boomers moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Wildcats dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Boomers will face Cougars (#7) in McKinnon in the next round. Wildcats will play at home against Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
