Regular Season Round 7: W.Adelaide B. - Southern T. 66-79

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Tigers (6-3) defeated 5th ranked Bearcats (4-4) in Woodville 79-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tigers. Bearcats was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tigers forced 27 Bearcats turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Ta'Rea Cunnigan (175-93, college: San Jose St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Mollie McKendrick (183-93, college: Boston U.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Stana Zecevic (-90) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Tahlia Fejo added 15 points and 6 steals in the effort for Bearcats. Bearcats' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tigers maintains third place in League with 6-3 record behind leader Rockingham CF. Loser Bearcats dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Tigers will face Warriors (#6) in Flinders Park in the next round. Bearcats will play at home against the league's leader Flames and hope to win that game.
