Regular Season Round 28: AEC Collblanc - Mollet 80-72

Everything went according to plan when second ranked AEC Collblanc (13-4) defeated 5th ranked Mollet (10-9) in L´Hospitalet 80-72 on Saturday. Mollet was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 29-20 charge of AEC Collblanc, which allowed them to win the game. AEC Collblanc shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Mollet only scored four points from the stripe. AEC Collblanc forced 20 Mollet turnovers. Mollet was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Pedro Corominas (180-71) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Point guard Albert Ferrer (180-82) replied with 18 points and Gerard Bas (185-85) added 14 points in the effort for Mollet. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AEC Collblanc have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group C Titulo with 13-4 record having just eleven point less than leader San Fernando. Newly promoted Mollet dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. AEC Collblanc will face Quart (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mollet will play against the league's leader L'Hospitalet and hope to win that game.
