Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Bankstown Bruins (4-4) outleveled on the road 9th ranked Sutherland Sharks (2-6) 96-65 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sutherland Sharks 50-38 including 41 on the defensive glass. Bankstown Bruins looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Naturalized Croatian forward Alexandar Opacic (208-86, college: Furman, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Four Bankstown Bruins players scored in double figures. Bankstown Bruins' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Brandon Crompton (203, college: King) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Robert Simonovski added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Bankstown Bruins moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Sutherland Sharks keep the ninth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
