Regular Season Round 28: Agustinos-Eras - Naron 83-75

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Naron (10-12) lost to first ranked Agustinos-Eras (18-4) in Leon 75-83 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Naron won second period 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Agustinos-Eras forced 23 Naron turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Agustinos-Eras made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for American forward Dionte Ferguson (198-92, college: S.Alabama) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. The other American import center Kevin Rima (204-92, college: NW Nazarene) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Agustinos-Eras players scored in double figures. British-American forward Steve Forbes (206-91, college: IPFW) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Brantley Osborne (193-91, college: Shepherd) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Naron. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Agustinos-Eras maintains first position in Group A-B with 18-4 record, which they share with Grupo Inec Z. Loser Naron keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost.
