Regular Season Round 14: Academia - Bucaros 83-70

An interesting game for Academia (11-3) which hosted in Montana 3rd ranked Bucaros (8-6). Second ranked Academia managed to get a 13-point victory 83-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bucaros. They outrebounded Bucaros 48-27 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Academia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian swingman Tyler Murray (195-90, college: Wagner) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Luis Julio (201-80) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard T.J. Sapp (190-92, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bucaros. Five Academia and four Bucaros players scored in double figures. Academia keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cimarrones. Bucaros at the other side keep the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Sabios. Academia is looking forward to face league's leader Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bucaros will play at home against Sabios and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
