Regular Season Round 8: Ipswich F. - Gold Coast R. 86-85

Important game to mention about took place in Booval. Top-ranked Ipswich Force (1-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging bottom-ranked Rollers (0-1) 86-85 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in League. Rollers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) who scored 26 points. The other American import forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Harvey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Thalo Green (200-78) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Christian Salecich (190, college: SIU Edwardsville) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Four Rollers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ipswich Force left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Loser Rollers still closes the standings with one game lost. Ipswich Force will face Townsville Heat (#7) in Hermit Park in the next round where they are favorite. Rollers will play at home against Gladstone Port City Power and hope to get finally their first victory.
