Regular Season Round 28: Torrelodones - Casvi 89-68

Date: April 30, 2016
Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Torrelodones (10-15) rolled over at home 14th ranked Casvi (6-19) 89-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 47-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Torrelodones dominated on the defensive end, holding Casvi to just 7 points in third quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Torrelodones made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for center Jordan Sakho (209-97, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield, agency: Duran International) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Torrelodones' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Alejandro Fortes (201-90) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) added 15 points in the effort for Casvi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Torrelodones moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with La Roda. Casvi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Torrelodones will face Villarrobledo (#13) on the road in the next round. Casvi will play against Real Canoe and hope to win that game.
