Undefeated Diamond Valley Eagles (7-1) recorded its first loss in Tullamarine on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Hume City Broncos (6-3) 91-85. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized British guard Lee Jeka (193-83) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jamal Brown (198-78, college: TCU) who added 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Naturalized Canadian guard Dejan Vasiljevic (187-97) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and guard Matt Reynolds (183) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hume City Broncos maintains fifth position in League with 6-3 record. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keep the second place with one game lost. Hume City Broncos will meet at home Devils (#8) in the next round. Diamond Valley Eagles will play against McKinnon C.
