Regular Season Round 8: BA CoE - Bendigo B. 60-75

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Bendigo Braves (6-1) defeated on the road bottom-ranked BA CoE (0-3) 75-60 on Sunday. Bendigo Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BA CoE's 28. Strangely BA CoE outrebounded Bendigo Braves 45-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Inception Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Bendigo Braves' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Jack White (194-97) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Lat Mayen Nai added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Bendigo Braves keep a position of League leader. Loser BA CoE still closes the standings with three games lost. Bendigo Braves will face Tigers (#8) in Melbourne in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BA CoE will play at home against Sabres and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
